First of all, this home has a most stunning patio and pool area. The lush gardens surrounding the space are green and colorful. The pool is integrated into the yard with the help of a bridge/deck over it, transitioning it to an refreshing accent piece instead of the sole centerpiece of the space.
Deb says the pool / patio space makes her feel like she is on vacation. The family has spent countless birthday parties with friends and family in the backyard area. The neighborhood kids have lived in the pool. There is an outdoor sound system to help create a fun (or relaxing) atmosphere. She will miss this oasis.
In addition to the pool and hot tub, Deb also loves the fireplace and the master chef’s kitchen. The private room that is accessed off the master deck is in the trees and feels like a relaxing tree house.
Deb and her family have remodeled several spaces in the home including the huge kitchen island. Since that change, it has become a go-to place for family and friends to gather and share special moments. The home owners also redid the basement and master bathrooms, added custom wood steps to the master suite, added radiant heating to some of the flooring, and increased the energy efficiency of the home. This means hot water solar, sealed windows and sealed crawlspaces.
Deb will miss the home’s many windows, as well as the placement of these windows. She will also miss the pool, garden, hot tub, fireplace, the overall architecture, and its location.
In terms of location, Deb loves the mature trees, beautiful gardens, good neighbors and how the house is within walking distance to a grocery store, coffee shop, restaurant, and neighborhood school. Deb often shops at that grocery store (Lucky’s) and visits the coffee shop (Logan’s). She also enjoys heading to Pearl Street and the Boulder Farmer’s Market.
